Owner, Your Personal Best Fitness Coaching
I started running competitively in 1983 when I joined my high school cross country team as a way to improve fitness, counteract the effects of asthma, and become more social. After finishing 2nd in the state championships my senior year and competing in the NAIA National Championships my junior year of college, I knew running would always be a part of my life.
During my 30+ years as a runner (distances from 5k to marathon) and over 16 years as a trainer I have learned a tremendous amount about the science of performance. Now, as a Masters runner, I am enjoying the sport more than ever. For me running is a source of inspiration, meditation, motivation, and stress relief, as well as a way to meet new and interesting people. Additionally, it allows me to continually challenge myself, which in turn positively affects the quality of my life. I can’t imagine my life without it!
My personal goals are to challenge the standards for age related decline in performance and to spread the power running has to change lives. If you have any questions or comments I would love to hear from you. You can contact me here.
